Terms of Service for Bookmark Squirrel

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of Bookmark Squirrel, available at BookmarkSquirrel.com ("Bookmark Squirrel," "we," "us," or "our").

By creating an account, accessing, or using Bookmark Squirrel, you agree to these Terms.

Use of the Service

Bookmark Squirrel provides an online service for saving and managing bookmarks and related information.

You may use the service only in compliance with these Terms and applicable law.

Accounts

You may need to create an account to use some or all features of Bookmark Squirrel.

You are responsible for:

• providing accurate account information
• keeping your login credentials secure
• all activity that occurs under your account

You must promptly notify us if you believe your account has been accessed without authorization.

Acceptable Use

You agree not to use Bookmark Squirrel to:

• violate any law or regulation
• interfere with or disrupt the service or its infrastructure
• attempt to gain unauthorized access to any account, system, or data
• upload, store, or share malicious code or harmful content
• use the service to infringe the rights of others

We may suspend or terminate access to the service if we believe you have violated these Terms or used the service in a harmful, fraudulent, or abusive manner.

Your Content

You retain ownership of the bookmarks and related information that you store using Bookmark Squirrel.

You grant Bookmark Squirrel a limited right to host, store, process, and display your content only as needed to operate and provide the service to you.

You are responsible for the content you store using the service and for ensuring you have the rights to store that content.

Payments and Billing

Some features of Bookmark Squirrel may require payment.

Payments may be processed by third-party payment providers such as Square or Stripe. Bookmark Squirrel does not store full payment card information on its own servers.

You are responsible for paying all applicable fees, taxes, and charges associated with your use of paid features.

Unless otherwise stated, fees are non-refundable except where required by law.

Account Deletion and Termination

You may delete your account at any time through the User menu > Account > Delete My Account link.

When you delete your account, your account profile and stored bookmarks are scheduled for deletion within 48 hours. Limited billing, security, server log, and audit records may be retained longer where reasonably necessary for legal, accounting, fraud prevention, abuse prevention, or security purposes.

We may suspend or terminate your access to Bookmark Squirrel at any time if necessary to protect the service, comply with legal obligations, address nonpayment, investigate abuse, or enforce these Terms.

Availability and Changes

We may modify, suspend, or discontinue all or part of Bookmark Squirrel at any time, with or without notice.

We do not guarantee that the service will always be available, uninterrupted, secure, or error-free.

Privacy

Your use of Bookmark Squirrel is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect, use, and protect information.

Disclaimer of Warranties

Bookmark Squirrel is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis, to the fullest extent permitted by law.

We make no warranties or representations about the availability, reliability, security, or suitability of the service for any particular purpose.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Bookmark Squirrel and its operators will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profits, goodwill, or business opportunities arising out of or related to your use of the service.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim arising out of or relating to the service will not exceed the amount you paid us, if any, in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make changes, we will post the updated version on this page and update the Effective Date above.

Your continued use of Bookmark Squirrel after updated Terms become effective means you agree to the revised Terms.

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Wisconsin, without regard to conflict of law principles.
